The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it is actually alarmed about the superior amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA sassa services.

“This is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area regularly. The services level established for intervention experiences a higher influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for that Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to enable the servicing of all customers and increase access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
